North Smithfield Automotive Center owner Mike McAlister knows the difference experience makes. Mike began his automotive repair career over 32 years ago as a VW and Mazda technician working at a fast paced dealership. Mike worked behind the scenes on thousands of cars and trucks over the years; as a result he became one of the top auto repair technicians in the area.

About 10 years ago, the auto dealership where Mike worked decided to replace him (with his $20.00 per job) with two new people at $10.00 per hour each. At this point Mike had to make a decision, should he get another job working for someone else or should he start his own business. Fortunately Mike chose to open his own business, thus bringing his talents and experience into this new venture.

After a decade Mike now owns and operates a very successfully automotive repair shop employing a great staff of certified automotive technicians.
